The Pastel de Nata is a 3-century old Portuguese pastry and the most ubiquitous staple of the cuisine. All our nata brands marry the respect for tradition and faithful observance of the recipe with practical and  effective confection, transport and storage logistics.
In order to promote transparent and clear business transactions as well as ensuring the safety of our final consumers, our Natas are made according to the parameters of the following certifications:

The more certifications our product feature, the safer our clients feel. At B+Y Foods we strive to ensure the main certifications the market needs.

The Nata Pura Black product is pre-baked and blast frozen for transport and storage.

Storage must maintain a temperature of -18ºC. This cold chain is to remain unbroken during transport.

In cold, the product has a shelf-life of 12 months, allowing for a simplified inventory management.

Once defrosted at the Point of Sale, it should be prepared and consumed within 24 to 48 hours.

Product preparation is a fast and easy process. Without allowing the Natas to defrost, put them directly in the oven at 250ºC for 12 minutes. Depending on the oven it may take few more minutes. Keep attention to the filling, once it starts rising, creating a dome, they are ready to be removed from the oven.

Remove them from the foil tins and place them on the paper tins and let them rest and cool for 10 minutes before serving.
